Aquarius Rising

This is a picture of my character Aquarius, from Ru and I's story. Which is of yet unnamed, but we haz a plot to make it a webcomic. We'll see.

But anyway-I felt like drawing HIM. (It's a HIM, but he's supposed to look feminine-Aquarius was originally a woman!)

Aquarius is part of a telepathic, symbiotic race known as The Itir. Itir have powers that make Xavier's look like Swiss cheese-but anyway. Itir in their natural forms look like a cross between a jellyfish and a shrimp. When they take a host, however, they end up looking something like Aquarius here. As a standard for the race, they usually have blue or violet glowing eyes, and hair that can be any number or combination of colors, but usually light. They're physically fragile but their powers more then make up for it.

Aquarius started out as the child of a very prominent galactic ambassador. Her father, however, was killed in an attack on his ship-and the Itir ambassador, named Tsomeck, begged Aquarius to take him back to his homeworld to warn his people. This is Tsomeck/Aquarius after the bond between the two of them.

Itir rarely choose hosts-when they do, it's mostly to interact with other races for whatever reason or another. They're a quiet, zen species, and care little for fighting or squabbling, preferring diplomacy over everything else-their gifts make them very susceptible to feeling other people's pain. Because of his actions, both in taking a (mostly unwilling) host and in his befriending of several ragtag types, Tsomeck was exiled from his homeworld. S/he took up with Shaun, Kim, Svera, and the rest of the crew from then on.
